The By-Laws instruct on the processes and technical definitions for the operation of the basketball season and what rules players and members must adhere to.

These by-laws serve as a mechanism for domestic clubs to seek governance assistance from the Association to best serve their sub-community of the Association and legally recognise clubs as affiliated for the purpose of insurance for the Association.

Basketball is intended to be a recreational activity for enjoyment and health. These Codes of Conduct have been developed by Basketball Australia to give participants some guide to the expectations it has on those participants. It is intended to assist everyone to obtain the maximum benefit and enjoyment from their involvement in basketball.
