3x3 basketball is a fast-paces half-court variant of basketball with three players on the court for each team. Governed globally by FIBA, the sport uses a single hoop, a 10-minute game clock, and a tight 12-second shot clock.
Key Rules
- Scoring: Shots inside the arc count for 1 point; shots behind the arc count for 2 points.
- Winning condition: The first team to reach 21 points or the highest score at the end of 10 minutes wins.
- Clearing: After a made basket or defensive rebound, the ball must be cleared back past the arc before a team can attack.
- The Ball: Uses a specialized official size 6 ball with the weight of a size 7.
