The Basketball Australia Community Coach course is the perfect place to start your coaching journey, or to pick up some new tips. The course can easily be completed online, and results in a nationally recognized certificate. The Albany Basketball Association strongly encourages all individuals who will be involved with coaching a team in our competition to complete this course. As the saying goes, "high tide raises all ships", and the stronger our coaches are, the stronger our players are.

Completing the course will enable you to:

• Develop and communicate with players at a level suitable to their stage of development
• Run enjoyable sessions for players that challenge and advance them
• Understand the rules and concepts of competition team basketball
• Begin your development on the Australian Coach Development Pathway

Basketball WA is now ultilising Basketball Australias online learning and accreditation platform known as etrainu. It’s where all officials education, courses will now be managed. The platform will also serve as a central database for resources and learning materials.

All officials must have an etrainu account to access training, update their qualifications, and stay current with their accreditation.

Basketball Australia’s National Scoretable Committee has developed online courses for the basic Scoretable duties for their team to understand the basics of scoring and timing/visuals.
