Albany Basketball Association is looking forward to seeing you all courtside for the 2024/25 season!

Please have a read of the information below for things you should know before the season starts.

Domestic teams not in line with clubs.

All teams will need approval for their team's name, uniform colours and designs before you nominate your team. Please email admin@albany.basketball to seek approval. NOTE: This is for all teams even if you played last season.

Clubs

We wish to welcome all Clubs back to our association. If you are looking to join one of our Affiliated Clubs, please contact them using the details here.

Players

• A minimum of 7 players are required to submit a team & a maximum of 10. 
• Registrations are now closed for the 2024/2025 Season.

Playing Days and Venue

Albany Basketball Association competition is played at Albany Leisure Centre.

As we are limited with court space the allocated playing days and times will be dependent on the number of teams submitted for the season and therefore, we cannot guarantee the games will be played on the same days as last season. 

• Year 2, 3, 4 and 5/6 D3 Saturdays
• Year 5/6 D1 and D2 Mondays
• Year 7/8 D1, D2 and D3 Tuesdays
• Year 9/10 D1, D2 and D3(boys) Wednesday
• Year 11/12 Wednesday

• Men's Division 1, 2 and 3 Mondays
• Womens Division 1 Tuesdays
• Womens Division 2 Mondays
• Womens Division 3 Wednesday
• Men's Vets Wednesday

• Registrations are now closed
• School Starts – 7th of October 2024 (term 4)

Years 6 and up including Seniors and A-Grade

• Season Start: 7th Oct 2023
• Last Round of 2024: 14th Dec 2024
• Season Resumes 2025: 3rd Feb 2025
• Regular Season Ends: 15th Mar 2025
• Semi Finals – 17-19th March
• Prelim Finals – 24-26th March
• Grand Finals – 28th & 29th March

Years 2/3/4 Season

• Season Start: 12th Oct 2024
• Last Round of 2023: 14th Dec 2024
• Season Resumes 2024: 8th Feb 2025
• Season Ends: 8th March 2025 for year 2
• Round Robin: 15th March 2025 for year 3 and 4

Fees

• A-Grade & Seniors: $250
• Juniors: $200
• Junior to Senior or Senior to Vets: $140 (Payment of Junior player fee or Senior player fee needed in conjunction with this fee) 
• BWA Insurance fee $41.74 per player + Basketball Australia fee $5.61 (based on 2023/25 Season)
• Club Fee: Refer to your Club.
